Crazy Cat Lady Day

December 30, 2008 -- 39 cats fixed for new WAG record

lots of staff and volunteers

"Crazy Cat Lady Days" are special cat-only days open to our special "Frequent Fixers" by invitation, mostly for feral cats.  The first such day, on July 30th, was also the previous record of 34 surgeries.  It takes a full staff as well as lots of volunteers.  Pictured above, sort of clockwise, are Jody Larson (volunteer), Vanessa Horner (staff - vet assistant), Margaret Backenheimer (volunteer), Jen Brown (staff- vet tech), Barb Gunther (staff - vet assistant) with Dr Robe's head visible in back.

This was also a milestone day because it included Dr. Robe's 3000th WAG surgery.  This is especially impressive since he didn't start working for WAG until mid-March and wasn't working full-time until June.
3000th Robe cat, Abby, with Jill and Gail (more volunteers)  (other volunteers that day but not pictured were Kathy and me, Lisa)
And don't forget Kim, staff office manager.  Total of 5 staff and 7 volunteers.

But wait, there's more!  This special day also included Blackie, WAG's biggest cat at 17 pounds.  (with Barb)
